Between shadow and light, I find the stories that define us. Each piece I create captures a dialogue between worlds: the external pulse of the city and the internal, often hidden emotions of those who inhabit it. My art isn’t just to be seen—it’s an invitation to pause and reflect, to explore the connection between space and self.

I’m Roxy Megyesi, a Bristol-based visual artist behind MANDUDOT, blending the precision of architecture with the soul of human emotion.

  • Raised in Budapest, a city where history is carved into every facade, I grew up seeing spaces as silent storytellers. This awareness evolved into the foundation of my work—an art form where geometry meets the organic, and reality folds seamlessly into the surreal.

With over two decades in architecture and urban design, I developed an instinct for balance, composition, and nuance—qualities that now infuse my artwork. Over the past year, however, my life took an unexpected turn as I faced the profound experience of heart pauses. These moments deepened my appreciation for life’s fragility and the ways we connect—or sometimes disconnect—from our surroundings.

Through my art, I explore this delicate balance between structure and human presence. Between shadow and light, I find stories that define us, capturing a dialogue between the city’s pulse and our internal, often hidden emotions.

When I’m not immersed in my digital canvas, I begin my day with yoga and headstands at dawn—a nod to the meaning of my name. This practice of presence and balance naturally flows into my creative process.

Join me in exploring the intricate tapestry of human connections through urban fragments as I continue to push the boundaries of creativity, transforming architectural insights into evocative works of art.
